International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, one of the world’s most prestigious short film institutions, presents ‘Voices to be heard,’ featuring three The One Minutes Series, including two videos of my making.
‘Mirroring’, curated by Seda Yıldırım, Werkplaats Typografie, in collaboration with Mirror Soup Kitchen – a collective that mirrors recipes from war-affected communities – explores the phenomenon of mirroring as a way to connect.
‘Life/Body Hacks’, curated by Pernilla Manjula Philip, explores do-it-yourself approaches to living, challenging biomedical norms and amplifying the voices of chronically ill individuals. My video Consolation (Futuroscope, France, 2015) is part of that series.

‘We Need New Superstars’, curated by No Limits! Art Castle, advocates for a new range of superstar identities, amplifying voices of makers with diverse bodies and minds. My video Nelis (Amsterdam 2012) will be featured too.

The screening will take place on Sunday, 4th May at 17:15 at
Lichtburg-Filmpalast
Elsässer Straße 26, Marienkirche
