Two drawings from my sketchbook, blown up to more than life size!
To be seen until June 2nd, on the facade of Arti et Amicitiae on the Rokin in Amsterdam. How cool is that. ART = LIFE = ART is a mural made by five female artists: concept & Art = Life Babeth M. Vanloo, top left Eva Gonggrijp, down left Mathilde MuPe, top right Diana Blok, bottom right Maartje Jaquet (me).

I made these drawings during my BIJLMAIR residency at CBK Zuidoost (2017). Rinaldo Klas will be coming to Amsterdam from Suriname next Autumn for an artist residency at BIJLMAIR, too. He has been invited by the Stedelijk (Amsterdam museum of modern art) and CBK Zuidoost, to work on the exhibition “Surinamese School” and on a collaborative project with Moritz Ebinger and me. The latter project will then be exhibited in CBK Zuidoost at the end of 2021. If everything goes according to plan in these corona times, of course.
