The one minute stop motion video ‘Jeanne en haar hersenspinsels’ (Jeanne and her brain spinnings / phantasies), made in 2014, in collaboration with Judith Koning, previously on show in Istanbul (Salon/DANTEL) and France (exhibition ‘PAPIER’ gallery Le Poulailler, Wannehain), has now been selected for The One Minutes Series ‘Mind-body-problem’ curated by Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen. It will be on show at the group exhibition at Chinese European Art Center (CEAC) from April 16th until May 21st and it will also be screened at the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen (one of the most important short film institutions anywhere in the world) from April 30th until May 9th 2022.

Artist duo Sander Breure & Witte van Hulzen selected videos that depict the relationship between the soul and the body – whether as a metaphor, a problem or even a bad joke. ‘Mind-body-problem’ asks the age-old question: how can matter ever come to life? We may wonder: are mind and body separate entities, or are they closely linked by unity? The 22 selected videos were sent in from Belgium, Benin, France, Germany, Greece, Iraq, Kurdistan, Morocco, The Netherlands, Senegal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
