Edith Brouwer will open her studio at home for visitors tomorrow, Saturday December 17th. From 10:00 to 18:00 you are welcome to browse through her linocuts and works by artists associated with 10x10artist. She has coffee and cookies and also my new Visje bij de Thee *) collage works, my latest surreal and humoristic series. The title is a wink to Dutch writer Annie M.G. Schmidt whose work I love so much. Made of images from a vintage book about fish and other sea creatures, combined and intertwined with images from an old embroidery book with photos and patterns for table cloths, throw pillows and such. All collages that are (still) for sale, 10x10cm sized for 10x10artist.com and other, bigger sizes can be seen here. Available in a 30x30cm passe partout and, if you like, in a light wood colored frame.
