Tuesday January 23rd: a very nice book presentation and opening exhibition ALA SMA TORI – Keti Koti Verbeeld at Tembe Art Studio by Marcel Pinas in Moengo, Suriname.
And … it’s the first exhibition/event since 2018, a great honor for me! We had interesting conversations about my installation of all the different cotton cloths with texts, handpainted with ink that I made of products that are relevant to each person’s story. The exhibition stays until Tuesday January 30th.
Also … I met Robert again, who participated in my photography workshops 14 1/2 years ago. So special to see him again (photo on the left, the boy in front of the group). He is a grown man and a musician now!

Warme herinneringen aan het bezoek daar en de inzet van Marcel Pinas.Jammer dat het zover weg isâ¦Maar als ik het fotoboek weer in zie van die bijzondere reis die ik in 2017 heb gemaakt, beleef ik alles opnieuw! Op dit moment ben jij in
