Artist Isan Corinde had bought a small painting from me, DUIFIE 01 (5,5×8,5cm). We had decided to meet at art historian Bart Krieger’s shop Surinamese Art Treasures in Amsterdam.

Bart Krieger and I talked about Suriname, art, the slavery past and my new art project about Keti Koti, working title ala sma tori (everyone’s story). Inspired by Bart’s stories I bought some pieces for my project. They found a place in my studio now, in between all kinds of inspiring art.
