Today in Het Parool, the Amsterdam based Dutch national newspaper, my photo series Nachtbomen (Night Trees), taken during my nightly walks through the streets of our city during the second lockdown due to increasing numbers of people that are infected by Covid-19. Every night artist Maartje Jaquet takes a walk through the city streets that, for te second time around, are getting more and more deserted. Above the silence, according to her, the night trees are dancing. One can hear their leaves rustling in the wind – as if, in this silence, with even more enjoyment.
