This summer, WG Kunst will once again present BINNENsteBUITEN (INSIDEOUT), an art route in public space, themed: FUTURE. This art project is a follow-up to the successful art route that WG Kunst organized in the spring of 2021 during the lockdown.

50 original works of art are displayed in display cabinets on stilts spread over the WG – site. The artworks are made by artists from the neighborhoud and the surrounding area. The boxes can be recognized by their yellow colour. The works of art in this ‘Outdoor Museum’ are freely accessible. The boxes are within sight of each other and there will be a numbered map, so that the route is easy to walk. The names of the participating artists are listed on the WG Kunst website. Free guided tours for interested parties are organized in summer.

In other words: for the future, knowledge of history is essential

Which is the Gracia Linkers’ quote to her story, painted with green inkt made from grass, on off-white cotton fabric. For this occasion I embroidered the letters and then sew the cotton on colorful wax printed African fabric made by Vlisco, Helmond (The Netherlands).
