The Amsterdam based national newspaper Het Parool published an article about the recently opened exhibition Air In Zuidoost. It was very positive and enthusiastic about the artist residencies BijlmAIR in general and about the works installed by the artists who resided this last year. About our work it says: “Rinaldo Klas, Maartje Jaquet and Moritz Ebinger had known each other for some time, but now made collages and paintings together for the first time. The collages are composed of materials they found on the street, books from the second-hand shop in the area, with the common denominator: birds. Tropical birds, birds of the Bijlmer and fantasy birds swarm over their canvases and sheets. They also have a happy message. ‘Birds, people, they, we, everyone must live together,’ the explanation reads.”
