Atelier Noord, Zamira Jonker’s ceramics studio, is participating in the Open Ateliers Amsterdam Noord this weekend. Two of my works from my project Mama Aisa – Mother Earth are also on display.
A 10×10 cm glazed terracotta tile – made for 10x10artist.com (to be for sale theree soon) and a somewhat larger bowl, painted and baked with engobe. Both were created using the sgraffito technique, drawn into the still-wet clay and then colored in. And both depict Mother Earth and the water (sea).
