10x10artist is an art project by gallery Atelier Open. 10x10artist offers a varied selection of artworks by Dutch and International artists. The size of all the works is the same: 10×10 cm.

About my new work
Maartje Jaquet has been working on a series of new works for a few years now. Through her book Ala Sma Tori – Keti Koti Verbeeld, she learned more about the Surinamese Winti religion, in which Mama Aisa (Mother Earth) is so important, and discovered that this theme unconsciously played a major role in her personal work. Mama Aisa is the source of inspiration for a new series of works using various new techniques: collage drawings and ceramics (for sale in the webshop), paintings, and linocuts. An ode to our Mother Earth.

The ceramic tiles are the latest works. What is special about the tiles is that they are made of clay, which actually ís earth. And I left the parts that represent Mother Earth unglazed, pure. The prices are €45.
The collage drawings are already in the webshop for a while. Because I wanted all works to have te same price, the collage drawings (mounted on poplar wood and provided with a hanger) have been discounted from €65 tot €45.

How does it work? Go to my page, or any other artists page (kunstenaars), get inspired, choose your art, drop it in the shopping basket and order. On the website you’ll find important legal information, such as the right of withdrawal, general terms and conditions and the prepayment compulsory for delivery. The artwork will be sent after the amount due has been paid into the bank account of 10x10artist. The artwork will be sent as a package with PostNL. Of course you can also choose to pick up the artwork from 10x10artist. The address can be found under Contact. The shipping costs include packaging and handling.
