Lidwien Divendal was the first person to buy a ‘cahier’, made by Edith Brouwer and me, from our FINO ALL ‘ARCADIA collaboration. Lidwien took the opened cahier and used it as a background to frame the double page, ‘canzonetta’. How beautiful it hangs, next to Senad Alic‘s painting. The two works really enter into a dialogue with each other, both in subject and in color.
On the same wall, above the side table, there’s a beautiful photo by Leo Divendal, Lidwien’s brother and one of my favorite teachers at the Rietveld Academy.
